Episode 16 features Jessica Gray, the founder of Boca Save Our Beaches, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting marine ecosystems through community collaboration, conservation, and educational awareness. There’s also a long-time Adopt-A-Park Partner with PBC Parks and they host a number of beach cleanups throughout the year. In the podcast, Jessica shares some of the ways the organization helps PBC Parks achieve our goal of promoting stewardship of natural sites.

Episode 7 features guest Zachary Gottsagen, a Palm Beach County local who participates in Arts4All – Florida – Palm Beach County programs and stars alongside Shia LaBeouf and Dakota Johnson in the movie, Peanut Butter Falcon. Zach has Down syndrome, and the movie is garnering positive attention for being one of the few movies where an individual with Down syndrome is cast in a leading role.

Power of Parks: Marco Dispaltro

Episode 4 features guest Marco Dispaltro, an athlete who plays at the CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex in Lake Worth and is responsible for bringing the popular adaptive sport, Boccia, to the facility. Marco has played Boccia worldwide, and has been ranked the number one player in the world. He also plays and coaches other sports, like wheelchair rugby.

Episode 2 features guest Noah Kraft, a 13-year old volunteer at Okeeheelee Golf Course. Noah has been volunteering at the golf course for almost a year. Volunteering has helped him in a few ways, including learning how to do different tasks and improving his game. Noah agrees volunteering has provided him with many opportunities to better himself, and much of this has come from interacting with golf employees at the course. This opportunity is providing him not only with a way to serve his community, but also valuable experience he needs to work his way up to becoming a professional golf player!
