PBC Parks’ Volunteer Spotlight highlights our talented and dedicated volunteers! Meet DuBois Pioneer Home volunteer, Kim Ryan, one of the four “original” Dubois Pioneer Home historical docents. What’s that Plant? Strangler Fig!

The Florida Strangler Fig wraps its roots around host trees, widens, and forms larger roots that eventually take over its host tree.
